General Items & Limited Use Items

Most General and Limited Use Items will be of varieties that will fall under the one of the following categories: Crown, Cape/Cloak, Breastplate, Bracers/Gloves, Shield, Belt, Waist Covering (pants or wrap), Greaves, Necklace/Amulet, Brooch/Pin, and Ring. Information about the use and equipping of these kinds of Items are found in Acquiring & Equipping Items. In this entry we will address understanding and creating these Items.

Most Items in Allies of Majesty will utilize a system of adjectives and descriptors related to the kind of bonuses provided by the Item. The following list of bonuses is not an exhaustive list, but it does cover the most common bonuses. Also listed will be a Bonus Point value for the amount of bonus provided. The details and relevance of the point system will be described in more detail later. No regular Item will have more than 4 Bonus Points worth of bonuses.

Basic Attributes

Mighty

Solid
  • increases Guard 3 instances each War

Precise

Sure

Quick

Perceptive
  • adds Adjustments when Perceiving
  • 1.5 BP for every 2 Adjustments
Imperceptible
  • adds Adjustments vs. being Perceived
  • 1.5 BP for every 2 Adjustments
Enlivening
  • increases Excite Skill
  • 1 BP for every 1 Skill (max +3 Skill)
Quelling
  • increases Soothe/Subdue Skill
  • 1 BP for every 1 Skill (max +3 Skill)
Directing
  • increases Affirm/Aim Skill
  • 1 BP for every 1 Skill (max +3 Skill)
Taming
  • increases Excite Composure
  • 1 BP for every 1 Composure (max +3 Composure)
Heartening
  • increases Soothe/Subdue Composure
  • 1 BP for every 1 Composure (max +3 Composure)
Confirming
  • increases Affirm/Aim Composure
  • 1 BP for every 1 Composure (max +3 Composure)

Maneuvers, Spiritual Effects, & Songs

'Item' of 'Maneuver' (ex. Spear of Double Strike)
  • makes a specific Maneuver usable at Mastery Level 1, regardless of Order
  • 2 BP for 1 Maneuver
'Item' of Greater 'Maneuver' (ex. Axe of Greater Swing Through)
  • Adds Mastery Levels to a specific Maneuver when it is used
  • does not enable use of the Maneuver
  • 2 BP for 1 Mastery Level
'Item' of 'Spiritual Effect' (ex. Sword of Detection)
  • makes a specific Spiritual Effect usable as the Tier:1 version, regardless of Order
  • 3 BP for 1 Spiritual Effect
'Item' of Greater 'Spiritual Effect' (ex. Sling of Greater Presence)
  • Increases the active Tier of a specific Spiritual Effect while it is used
  • Allotment and Exertion are paid as the lower version, but the effect matches the higher version
  • Variable Allotments have a maximum equal to the higher version
  • 4 BP for 1 Tier
'Item' of Assisted 'Spiritual Effect' (ex. Bow of Assisted Ready Sword)
  • invests free Resolve into a specific Spiritual Effect if a version is used by the character
  • 2 BP for 21 Resolve
'Item' of 'Song' (ex. Staff of Reject)
  • makes a specific Song usable as the Tier:1 version, regardless of Order
  • 3 BP for 1 Song
'Item' of Greater 'Song' (ex. Club of Greater Lullaby)
  • Increases the active Tier of a specific Song while it is used
  • Complexity and Exertion are paid as the lower version, but the effect matches the higher version
  • SPP investment has a maximum equal to the higher version
  • 4 BP for 1 Tier
'Item' of Assisted 'Song' (ex. Staff of Assisted Rod of the Lord)
  • invests free SPP into a specific Song if a version is sung by the character
  • 2 BP for 1 SPP

Arrows & Stones

Precise Arrows or Precise Stones
  • quiver of up to 7 Arrows that give +3 Precision when fired
  • quiver of up to 5 Arrows that give +7 Precision when fired
  • quiver of up to 3 Arrows that give +12 Precision when fired
  • bag of up to 7 Stones that give +3 Precision when slung
  • bag of up to 5 Stones that give +7 Precision when slung
  • bag of up to 3 Stones that give +12 Precision when slung
Strong Arrows or Strong Stones
  • quiver of up to 7 Arrows that give +3 Force when fired
  • quiver of up to 5 Arrows that give +7 Force when fired
  • quiver of up to 3 Arrows that give +12 Force when fired
  • bag of up to 7 Stones that give +3 Force when slung
  • bag of up to 5 Stones that give +7 Force when slung
  • bag of up to 3 Stones that give +12 Force when slung
Singing Arrows or Singing Stones
(Arrows and Stones must travel at least 7" in order to produce a Song effect)
  • quiver of up to 3 Arrows that sing a specific Tier:1 Song when fired
  • quiver of up to 2 Arrows that sing a specific Tier:2 Song when fired
  • 1 Arrow that sings a specific Tier:3 Song when fired
  • bag of up to 3 Stones that sing a specific Tier:1 Song when slung
  • bag of up to 2 Stones that sing a specific Tier:2 Song when slung
  • 1 Stone that sings a specific Tier:3 Song when slung
  • possible Songs are:
    • Battle Cry (affects all within 7" of the flight path)
    • Cry for Aid (affects all within 7" of the flight path)
