Area Presence

As holy and unholy elohim become involved in a situation, their involvement can affect the general atmosphere in the material realm. This effect is called Area Presence. Area Presence is determined by comparing the total Magnitude of holy elohim to the total Magnitude of unholy elohim. The lesser total is subtracted from the greater and the difference determines the level of holy or unholy Area Presence.

Area Presence causes a noticeable change in the atmosphere relative to the level or Presence. The light or darkness will be palpable and humans will feel anything from a very slight to a nearly overwhelming pressure to adjust their actions attitudes toward good or evil. Strong unholy Area Presence can cause people who may be very resistant to committing evil acts may have trouble shaking unwanted emotions such as anger, fear, or despair. Strong holy Area Presence can inspire fear of stepping out of line within people who would normally have little to no respect for authority or others. Area Presence can have can also affect Social Interactions targeting humans.

Only Holds and elohim directly concerned with the situation at hand contribute to the current Area Presence. Elohim whose Glory is Concealed do not contribute their Magnitude toward Area Presence. A Ministering Spirit using Haven/Asylum may choose whether or not to contribute their Magnitude toward Area Presence as contributing their Magnitude may alert others there is an elohim present they are not noticing. As long as there are other elohim contributing to the total Magnitude, then the Ministering Spirit may continue to be overlooked. If they are the sole contributor of Magnitude, however, continuing to contribute toward Area Presence is considered an aggressive action and will cancel the Spiritual Effect.

Holy Area Presence will prevent unholy elohim from recovering through restful peace. Similarly, Unholy Area Presence will prevent holy elohim from recovering through restful peace. The elohim will need to escape the Presence in order to recover.
