Smiting Scepter
Smiting Scepter manifests a Staff(s) that the Minstrel can wield with Increased Guard. The Guard Increase is equal to the invested SPP. The total Falter caused by the Passion Effect is increased by 1 (if any Falter is caused).
Smiting Scepter Increases Guard by up to 3 and no more than 3 SPP may be invested. If holding an Item other than a Staff, the Item is put away and can be automatically re-equipped when the Song is ended.
Cursed Smiting Scepter can Increase Guard by up to 7 and increases the total Falter by 2, allowing as many as 7 SPP to be invested. Corrupt Smiting Scepter can Increase Guard by up to 12, and raises the total Falter by 3, allowing 12 SPP to be invested.

[For Flesh, there are no Passion Effects. Instead, Smiting Scepter gives the Staff a 12 Effect that causes Falter:1 and can trigger once per Strike. For Cursed Smiting Scepter, it can trigger twice per Strike, and three times per Strike for Corrupt Smiting Scepter.]

Deadly Stones
Deadly Stones manifests a Sling that the Minstrel can wield with Increased Force. The Force Increase is equal to the invested SPP. If 3 SPP is invested, the total Falter caused by the Passion Effect is increased by 1 (if any Falter is caused).
The maximum SPP investment in Deadly Stones is 3. If holding an Item other than a Sling, the Item is put away and can be automatically re-equipped when the Song is ended.
Cursed Deadly Stones has a maximum SPP investment of 7. In addition to the bonus for 3 SPP, if 7 SPP is invested, an additional 12 Effect is added to the Sling of 12 = +1 Hit that can trigger only once per Strike. Corrupt Deadly Stones has a maximum SPP investment of 12. In addition to the bonuses for 3 SPP and 7 SPP, if 12 SPP is invested, then the additional 12 Effect can trigger twice per Strike.
