Wolf

wolf rendered.jpgRepresents: Victimizing Others, helping self by hurting/taking from others
Spiritual Wolves embody the biblical concept of wicked by embracing selfish victimization. They look out for their own interest and advance their goals at the expense of others. Even when they act in packs, there will be an alpha of sorts and the others are just waiting for an opening to take the position for themselves. Wolves encourage this kind of behavior in humans and will give those practicing victimization added strength to become progressively worse and worse. Wolves are strong and precise. They attack with a savage bite and become even more ferocious once they have found weakness. Wolves are excellent at taking advantage of the presence of allies and can easily overwhelm their enemies. They call forth with a Ravenous Howl (a Minstrel Song), exciting their own passion as well as all allies who hear or even join in.

Special Abilities

When using a known Maneuver, Martial Mastery grants the Wolf a bonus to Precision (or Guard, whichever is applicable) equal to half the Mastery Level of the Maneuver.

While in Defensive Stance, Martial Mobility allows the Wolf to Move 2” each Activation unaffected by the penalties of Defensive Stance. This 2" is extended or reduced by other effects that extend or reduce distances travelled, such as the Songs Winds of Heaven and Tempest.

Strength in Struggle reflects the Wolf's toughness by reducing Wear related to Strikes received by 10%. Wear related to Strikes dealt by a Wolf is increased by 10%.

At 3rd Domain Wolves also gains +1 to all Resist Checks.

Situational Awareness gives the Wolf a Perception of 3 allowing them 3 Adjustments in their Favor when Perceiving or being Perceived.

At 2nd Domain the Perception Adjustments are increased to 6. Then 9 at 3rd Domain and 12 upon becoming a Wolf Beast.

Trained Eye lets the Wolf choose a Target to watch. Wolf can make a Perception Check each Segment in which they are using Action Points until they succeed. Once succeeding, the Wolf may make 1 Adjustment to any Strike rolls made by the Target against the Wolf and any Resist Checks the Wolf makes against the Target. Also, the Wolf can ignore Guard provided to the Target by Defensive Stance. The Wolf may change watched Targets once in each Segment, but will need to succeed a Perception Check against the new Target before getting the bonus again. If the Wolf loses line of sight with the Target for an extended time, Trained Eye may be lost.

At 3rd Domain the number of Adjustments is increased to 2.

Wolves can use their strength of will to protect themselves. Resolute Stability allows the Wolf to ignore Falter:1 each time Falter is applied to them. It also allows them to ignore one Defensive Hit being caused to them. Lastly, it reduces Wear related to Strikes received by 1/10th.

Size and Mutations

Wolves fit the standard rules of Occupying Space for elohim. However, the height is of course skewed when not standing upright. Also, like all bestial elohim, Wolves will gain varying Mutations when increasing in Tier.

The example below shows a sampling of Wolves increasing from 1st Domain to Wolf Beast. In this instance, the Mutations gained in order are: Devouring Mandibles, Scaly Body, and Meaty Paws.
