Wrestlers use no other weapon beyond their Self, and are able to Strike in Melee Range. As a Standard Effect, the Wrestler may choose to Grapple their Target with one or more uncanceled 12s. This Grappling does not require the a Control Check. Their Passion Effect adds 2 Exertion to the Target.
The Wrestler is a Maneuver Master, able to employ a wide variety of Maneuvers with increased effectiveness. Wrestlers can use Maneuvers from different Melee Fighting Styles without needing to spend Action Points to change their Fighting Style. Further, any Maneuvers they have learned function as if they were one Mastery Level higher. This Mastery Level increase can allow up to 3 Maneuvers to exceed the normal maximum for their Tier. All others can be improved to the maximum, but will not function higher than the maximum until the character increases in Tier. Maneuver Master allows the Wrestler to spend fewer Maneuver Points mastering each Maneuvers and instead use those Points to learn a greater variety of Maneuvers. That said, a Tier:1 Wrestler may choose at some point to start saving Maneuver Points or raising more Maneuvers to Mastery Level 2 in preparation for their advancement to Tier:2 rather than learning nearly every Maneuver available.
Wrestlers are also Adaptive, and can break Defensive Stance and Full Defensive Stance at any time. This allows them to begin a Cycle or Turn in Defensive Stance and exit it whenever they feel it may be too restrictive. If doing so, they must wait until the next usual opportunity to be able to re-enter Defensive Stance.
Wrestlers will not use weapons other than Self, which means they cannot use Ranged Maneuvers. Wrestlers also will not choose a Horse as an Epic Blessing, as it conflicts with their style of engagement.
